Bellingham Floor Pros is a locally owned flooring installation company serving Bellingham, Fairhaven, Edgemoor, Sehome, and the rest of Whatcom County. We started this business with one premise: most flooring problems in Pacific Northwest homes start at the subfloor, and most installers skip that part of the work.

We don't.

What makes us different

We test moisture before we price the job.

Every flooring quote we write includes subfloor moisture readings. Hardwood, LVP, tile, doesn't matter. If your subfloor isn't ready, you see it on the estimate, before you sign. Most installers eyeball it. We measure.

Acclimation is in writing.

Manufacturer warranties require acclimation periods. Solid hardwood: 3 to 7 days. Engineered: 48 to 72 hours. We put the actual schedule in your contract. If the install starts before the acclimation period ends, the warranty is voided. We won't do that to you, even if you're in a hurry.

We hold real certifications.

NWFA Certified Installer. INSTALL Alliance training. Manufacturer-certified status with several brands we install most. We don't claim certifications we don't hold, and we'll show you the paperwork on request.

We live here.

Our crew is based in Bellingham. Most of our recent jobs are within ten minutes of where you live. Ask, and we'll send you addresses you can drive past. We handle Fairhaven Victorians, Edgemoor waterfront homes, Sudden Valley cabins, and Lynden farmhouses, because we've actually worked on all of them.

The team

Our installers are NWFA-trained and INSTALL-aligned. We don't subcontract day labor for finish flooring work. The crew that quotes your job is the crew that does your job.

How we price

We come to your home, measure every room, run moisture meter readings, and look at your subfloor. You get a written quote with the scope broken out: material, labor, demo and haul-away, transitions and stair noses, and any subfloor work needed. No surprise add-ons. The number on the contract is the number on the invoice.

What we won't do

We won't install hardwood over a subfloor that fails moisture testing. We won't lay LVP over uneven plywood without leveling. We won't skip acclimation to meet a tight schedule. We won't install over compromised structural substrate. There are flooring jobs that look easy on paper and turn into callbacks in 18 months. We'd rather you hire someone else than do them wrong.

License and insurance

Bellingham Floor Pros is licensed in Washington State (verify on lni.wa.gov), bonded, and carries general liability and workers compensation insurance. We can email you our certificate of insurance before any work starts.

Free estimates, every time

We never charge for an estimate. We come to your home, measure, and write a quote. If you don't hire us, you don't owe us anything. Most Bellingham homeowners hear back within 15 minutes of submitting our form during business hours.
