What we install

Carpet installation process

1. Existing floor removal

Old carpet rolled and removed, tack strips inspected and replaced if rotted, staples pulled. Subfloor swept and inspected.

2. Pad install

Pad rolled out, butt-seamed not overlapped, stapled at edges. Moisture barrier pad in basements or below-grade areas.

3. Seam placement

Seams placed away from main traffic paths, away from doorways. Hot-melt seam tape with iron, never spot-glued.

4. Power stretching

Power stretcher (not just knee-kicker) used to seat the carpet against tack strips. This is the step that prevents wrinkles and bubbles in year two.

5. Cut-in and trim

Edges tucked to tack strip, transitions at doorways, vacuum and walkthrough.

Carpet pricing in Bellingham
